As a solution provider and planning partner, MESSRING also supports the planning and construction of film pits in order to guarantee the best possible filming conditions from underneath the vehicles or a MESSRING Flying Floor. Supported by computer simulations, all components from lighting and cameras to the transparent covers of the film pits are harmonized during the planning phase. These are manufactured, delivered and implemented under the direction of MESSRING. In combination with the MicroTrack rail system, which is only 70 mm wide and also allows to cross two rails above a film pit, optimum film results can be achieved. The size and shape of the respective film pit can also be adapted to individual applications and the resulting requirements. In general rectangular film pits are sufficient for sled tests or linear crash tests, while octagonal film pits have proven to be particularly suitable for car-to-car crash tests with differing impact angles.
