This includes all tests with vehicle components such as body, passenger seat, seat belt, child restraint system, roof rack, airbag and steering wheel. Data acquisition systems are positioned at different locations and use data loggers and firing boxes to record data from connected sensors and, for example, to fire airbags. Instrumentation of smaller test objects with crash-resistant components is also possible and can be flexibly configured. For the sensors, several calibration ranges are available. Such force transducers can also record multi-axial forces and moments during impact.
