Functional testing of driver assistance systems to prevent accidents. This concerns both vulnerable road users (VRU) and autonomous emergency braking (AEB). The functional reliability of active safety systems and the interaction between vulnerable road users and automated vehicles are tested as realistically as possible on special test sites. Even rain and whirled-up surface water can be simulated.
